Discover the Journey
A story fifteen years in the making, Campfire Chronicles had its beginning as a bedtime story on a camping trip for the author’s children. Over the years the story grew even as the children grew and matured and very quickly developed a life all its own. Gathered around a roaring campfire and with the surrounding dark forest beckoning the family to a deeper immersion in the story, the characters based on them embarked on an adventure in an ancient medieval realm. The journey is fraught with danger and strife, but also genuine friendship, loyalty and love.

In the year 1190, a remote Kingdom in Northumbria is preparing to send its King and a bevy of knights and soldiers to aid Richard the Lionheart in what we now know as the Third Crusade. Another scheming leader in a nearby land hatches a plan to kidnap the king’s daughter while he is away to garner ransom money and the favor of Richard and a place on his High Court.
The princess is captured but the wayward leader’s plans run amuck as two sojourners bereft of any lord or allegiance learn of the capture and intervene. Rescue and friendship, revenge and loyalty, a father's love for his daughter, and a kingdom fighting to preserve and continue the legacy of King Arthur awaits the reader. And the ancient noble creature that assisted his realm is introduced, discovered unexpectedly by the princess and her companions. The friendship thus forged hearkens to new adventures.
